Volvo V60 Cross Country is based on a standard V60, but the legs are elevated 75 mm. Intended to focus on off-road use in 2019. Special development was carried out in the chassis and Cross Country suspension, in order to increase its capabilities when driving off-road. Like series 60, 90 and XC, using the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform, whose prowess is recognized through many awards. All-Wheel Drive is definitely a standard. The same is the Hill Descent Control, Electronic Stability Control, Corner Traction Control and Off-Road driving mode options.
V60 Cross Country features a myriad of cutting-edge safety features. Includes an option “Pilot Assist” system that is able to read road markings to help steering, acceleration and braking up to speeds of 130 km / hour. Lane Mitigation features and other steering helper systems are also standard.
Volvo also claims, the standard automatic emergency braking feature is the only feature on the market that is able to recognize pedestrians, cyclists and large animals. Automatic brakes are included in the Cross Traffic Alert section as an optional feature. The safety issue is Volvo’s priority. This manufacturer does not want its reputation to decline as the safest car in the world.
The Census infotainment system supports entertainment facilities for all passengers. Complete connections include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and 4G networks. This system is centered on a tablet-style monitor that is very intuitive. Contains a combination of all car functions, navigation, connectivity and entertainment applications.
The choice of engine is not as much as V60 wagon. Cross Country is only offered T5 and D4 diesel engine lines, all of which are driven by AWD. When referring to the T5 engine of the Volvo XC60, a 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder engine can produce 250 hp and 350 Nm of torque. While the hybrid and plug-in hybrid version will follow.
