Each country has a different security department. Every security department in a country has vehicles for their daily operations. This is one of the concept cars used by the police in Stockholm at the end of September 2008. The new generation of chassis-based Volvo V70 is a special operational vehicle for sweden’s police to increase the security of local residents and arrest criminals.
The police version of the V70 is a modified standard car with many features such as chassis, brakes and wheels that are strengthened and specifically adjusted, an enhanced electrical system and an ergonomic work environment for the Swedish police. All to handle demanding operating conditions where cars are worn every day when responding to emergencies and so on.
Swedish police have set up the famous and energy-efficient D5 Volvo diesel engine with a power output of 185 hp.
Next year will see the introduction of a new 200 hp 2.5 FT Flexi-fuel (E85) version as an environmentally optimized option for the police.
The first Volvo V70 police car was sent to arrest criminals and patrol the area around January 2008.
