The new Volvo S60 is the most sporty and most dynamic Volvo sedan. With a new system, called FOUR-C, it controls the silencer of the car, making adjustments of 500 times per second. FOUR-C has 3 driving modes that are easily changed from the dashboard (1.Comfort 2.Sport & 3.Advanced Sport). a engineering and design study to identify and test technical solutions plus design structures that will compete in Europe.
With one of the most advanced dynamic controlled chassis in the world, four-wheel drive (AWD) is managed electronically. It is connected to the Multiplex car’s electrical system so that it communicates continuously with other car functions to optimize four-wheel drive operations to suit current conditions. The unique interaction between AWD, DSTC, and FOUR-C gives this car the driving characteristics and the desired road holding – anywhere between comfort and sporty advanced. Equipped with Volvo Performance Concept Car also with DSTC (Dynamic Stability and Traction Control) serves to help drivers avoid slippage.
The interior of the Volvo S60 features a sporty and smooth feel. Contoured chairs are covered in soft leather with metallic effects and inlay panels in Nubuck suede. The foot pedal is made of striped aluminum and is an exclusive blue instrument panel gauge.
The S60 comes from a proven Volvo 5-cylinder engine, producing 300 bhp and no less than 295 lb.ft. torque from 2.4 liters of displacement. Power is channeled to all wheels through a compact 6-speed manual four-shaft gearbox developed by Volvo Engineering.
